Should I Use Video to Tell A Story To Help My Business?

storytell_image_webWe are bombarded by as many as 3000 advertisements a day. As a consumer we have to filter out all that information. It may feel as though we always have to keep our guard up. I notice that I do it when a sales call comes in. Think about the last time you answered a call from a sales person. If you are like most, you were short and possibly rude to them.

People do not need more information. As I mentioned, 3000 advertisements/information a day has everyone knee deep in information. I believe they want to get to know, like and trust you. This can be accomplished through the story you tell.
Telling a story by using video on your website, allows you to relate and emotionally connect on the same level with the prospect. It enables the prospect to come to the understanding on their own terms. It allows them to own the decision-making process and ultimately their decision to buy from you.
If you can share a story of how your product or service has helped others and what their situation was prior to using your product/service, it will have great benefits to growing your business. Testimonial videos from clients telling their own story also works very well.
Another idea is to answer questions that clients ask on a regular basis. Try telling the answer to the question through a story. Storytelling can relieve what may normally feel like a lot of work to move a potential client along.
