Filming from the tower

10689433_10152471719811022_6682907317180179073_nHave you started to notice all these tall towers set up on the sidelines of high school athletic games with cameras mounted on top of them? With smaller and lighter cameras it is a great way to get a birds eye view of the game when no bleachers are available. Coaches love this angle, no obstructed views and it is a great perspective to study why a player made a particular decision.
Here at In Focus Studios we have invested in two towers to capture sporting events. Our tower can go up 23ft and the camera is controlled with a joystick at ground level.
The reviews we are getting from clients has been overwhelming fantastic! In our opinion, after filming thousands of soccer, lacrosse, basketball and football games, this is the best angle to capture a game for college recruiting purposes.
We have done our research and have spoken with some of the best college coaches around. One thing they all say is to film from an elevated view whenever possible.
We are happy to report that in 2014 92% of our senior players made a college team.
